Jeremiah Kendall, founder at IMS

👋 Hi, I’m Jeremiah Kendall, founder of Domini Technologies.
My passion for electronics started when I was a kid experimenting with computers and circuits which never stopped. Over the years, that curiosity turned into a career developing automation and calibration software for labs and engineers around the world. I also have my fun personal projects like web development, web apps, databases and hardware/firmware prototyping that occasionally works its way into paid projects.
Today, I focus on helping teams modernize their testing with smarter, faster, and more reliable automation tools. I even coach upcoming students and young technicians on programming, software, and test equipment.

I’ve always been fascinated by how things work. My journey into electronics started when I was about six or seven years old and my parents brought home a brand-new Tandy 1000 TX. Like most kids, I enjoyed playing games but I also spent hours reading the DOS 3.2 manual, learning how to operate commands and explore one of Microsoft’s early operating systems.

Soon after, I was wiring up small electronic kits with my brother; shortwave radios, timers, anything that blinked or buzzed. That early curiosity eventually grew into a lifelong interest in electronics, computers, and programming.

From Curiosity to Career

My professional journey began in an unusual way (at the time), as a driver at a calibration lab. Within six months, I was training to become a technician because I couldn’t help but dive into manuals, learn how the instruments worked, and understand how to calibrate them. I worked hard, earned a couple large raises and bonuses, and realized I had found my passion.

A few years later, I joined Qualcomm as a Calibration Technician, where I spent over a decade surrounded by cutting-edge test equipment. The lab was nearly fully automated, which opened my eyes to the power of automation in improving accuracy and saving time. While there, I also learned test equipment repair, automated calibration programming using Fluke MetCal, and attended factory training from Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, and Fluke. I received several promotions and a lot of recognition from my peers during those years.

My time ended at Qualcomm as a Field Engineer, I then worked at a small test equipment rental company, helping improve processes and efficiency. Since commercial automation tools were often too expensive, I began developing my own using Python. That step changed everything, it combined my calibration background with my passion for coding and opened the door to what I do today.

Building Domini Technologies

I founded Domini Technologies to help calibration laboratories, test equipment rental companies, and manufacturers take advantage of custom automation software designed for real-world conditions. What started as a few small projects has grown into a mix of SaaS platforms, custom tools, and consulting services used by clients worldwide.

Today, I continue to design software that helps teams verify faster, test smarter, and maintain consistency across their equipment. Whether it’s automating a performance verification, improving a test station workflow, or building a full automation suite, I approach every project with the same curiosity that started it all; the one that began with that Tandy computer all those years ago.
